Red Bull Salzburg Rookies commit to social engagement
FC Red Bull Salzburg draws a positive conclusion after a season-long fundraising action. The young players of the Austrian club committed to the good result of numerous charity auctions.
In total 5,945 Euro were collected by auctions off the “Rookie of the match” jerseys of the Bundesliga games in the season 2017/18. The jerseys were signed by the players before fans could bid for them on eBay. it was not possible to purchase them in another way. The initiative was carried out in cooperation with main sponsor Rauch. The entire sum will be transferred to different social projects. Nearly all of them are located in Salzburg. One of the institutions that will benefit from the auctions is Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid, another one is providing safe spaces for youth people. Red Bull Salzburg is thankful for the huge support of the fans and the players Hannes Wolf, Amadou Haidara, Jerome Onguene, Xaver Schlager, Duje Caleta-Car and Patson Daka. After the success of the initiative, the club already announced that this charity auctions will take place in the next season again.
