Randers FC starts new employability programme

Randers FC Job Academy, a subsidiary of Randers FC, starts a new comprehensive employability programme in the Randers municipality with the help of A.P. Møllerske Support Fund.

The programme is called ‘Talents of tomorrow” and can be launched due to the well-established partnership with Randers Municipality, the City Secretariat and Youth Education Guide Randers and a financial support from the A.P. Møllerske Support Fund.

“Talents of Tomorrow” will help 136 young people aged 13-17 years to find a new job. The project will strengthen the young people’s work identity and competencies as well as the connection to the education system. Throughout a course of 26 weeks, young people participate in teaching, workshops and social events at the stadium of Randers FC. Individual guidance and practical work are also part of the course. The goal of the initiative is to improve the young people’s professional and social skills so that they can find a paid job. The project will run from October 2018 on for three years and will be evaluated by the LG Insight analysis and consulting company.

An innovative and holistic initiative

“In recent years, we have been working to help young people living in the city’s socially disadvantaged residential areas to find a paid job. However, we have seen the need for a continuous employability initiative throughout the municipality of Randers. Therefore, it is great joy and pride that, with the grant of the A.P. Møllerske Støttefond, we can now establish this project, which in our view is an innovative, adequate and holistic initiative. We are absolutely confident that we can jointly make a difference for the city’s youngsters”, says Randers FC CEO Henrik Jørgensen who supports the diverse Community and Social Responsibility programmes of the club.
