Paris Saint-Germain raises 1,645,000 Euro for Foundation
The 5th annual dinner organised by the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation resulted in a record fundraising of 1,645,000 Euro. The money will be used to finance the Foundation’s work for the benefit of children.
Nearly 400 guests took part at the auction at the Parc des Princes. Not only the President of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, and the entire men’s football team but also five players from the women’s team as well as handball player Luka Karabatic participated. In addition to that, personalities like DJ Snake or the club legend Pedro Miguel Pauleta followed the invitation of the PSG Foundation.
Christine Le Gal, Director of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, praised the involvement of the entire club, which continues to make every effort to enable the Foundation to continue its commitment: “This is a great moment for everyone. It is the evening of the Foundation, but also of all the Paris Saint-Germain family. Our partners, our players, our patrons – all are gathered for this evening, around this great event. ”

More than 300 social activities
The evening honoured the work done by the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation since it was founded in 2000, and in particular the success of the season. The Foundation opened the second ‘Red and Blue school’ in Mantes-la-Jolie. The project has been developed for children aged between 7-11 years old and provides every participating child with 40 sessions of after-school support. Furthermore, the “Go Girls” programme was implemented successfully. It was supported by the Lagardère Foundation and the UEFA Foundation for Children. In total, the Foundation realised more than 300 social actions throughout the year.
To finance new projects in the near future, an auction was organised by Artcurial. The auction broke the historic record set last season with a total of 1,645,000 Euro. Among the 16 lots on sale was an exceptional Wild Kong from Orlinski wearing the Club’s yellow jersey of the season, kicking off a Ligue 1 match and an extraordinary behind-the-scenes experience at the Parc des Princes for 30 people.
President of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, was very happy about the result and highlighted the importance of the social engagement: “We are punctuating the season with this gala dinner. It is a very important event. We do a lot for children, with a focus on education and sports practice. We hope to raise a lot of funds to continue to advance the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation. It is a real priority for us. “
