PAOK FC’s new campaign educates children about First Aid
Life. The ultimate good. A commodity we all must protect. Both ours and those in need. PAOK FC has launched a solidarity initiative to raise awareness and educate children about First Aid.
In cooperation with the Humanitarian Organisations, PAOK FC started to organise theoretical and practical training events for children in first aid, in order to be able to help fellow human beings in need and started to install Automatic External Defibrillators in its partner Academies. The theoretical training was implemented through participation in the iSAVElives FREE Webinar. At the same time, afterwards, events were held at the facilities of the PAOK Komotini Football Academy, and at the PAOK academies in Xanthi and Ioannina. At the same time, a visit to PAOK’s partner academy in Kilkis is also planned.
As part of the events, Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) were placed on the academies’ premises, which will be monitored, organised and supported by the KIDS SAVE LIVES National Defibrillator Charter, in order to protect athletes, coaches and parents during training sessions and matches. Evangelos Chrysochoos spoke to PAOK FC about this action, stating in detail.
”Especially in an important area such as health, we decided, together with our partners, to distribute defibrillators throughout Greece and beyond, but also to train children in First Aid. Moreover, it is important that PAOK, through PAOK Action, is a supporter of important actions with a positive social impact and with children as the main protagonists! […] Our aim is to give them not only the knowledge to become the heroes that will save a life, but also to understand the value of solidarity and contribution and based on these virtues they can go through life. PAOK is more than just the 90 minutes of a match and through PAOK Action and the valuable help of its partners, PAOK is laying the foundations for a better future for all, investing in knowledge, solidarity and contribution.” .
