PAOK Action: An unforgettable journey
Vangelis Vasiliadis’s effort to test his limits under the most difficult circumstances has landed him a place among the «Fjällräven Polar» participants. Representing the Mediterranean and PAOK at the same time, he will have the opportunity to go through the winter wilderness of Northern Scandinavia and plant the black-and-white flag in the Arctic Circle…
«Fjällräven Polar» (9-15 April) is a dog-sled journey of 300 kms through the icy forests of Norway and Sweden, in polar temperatures and accommodation in tents, in remote places where the earth meets the sky! Every year, only 20 brave people from all over the world participate in this race. This time around, “crazy” PAOK fan, Vangelis Vasiliadis will be among them.
Appreciating the contribution of the “Double-Headed Eagle” friends, Vangelis will combine his participation in the race with his wish to help a child in need.
In cooperation with PAOK Action, he will raise money for 17-month old Nikolas, who has been diagnosed with total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (a kind of congenital cardiac defect).
Vangelis Vasiliadis will offer 5€ for every one of the 300 kms he will cover in Fjällräven Polar. You can also make your donations through the following platform: Umbali. The sum raised will be given directly to little Nikolas’s family.
For every 5€ donated, PAOK friends and all donors will receive via e-mail a special password to participate in the draw for a PAOK shirt signed by all the players! (10€ = 2 passwords).
“Because, for PAOK, it’s something more than the 90 minutes of a football game”.
