Organization Earth supports refugees during the pandemic

Supporter of Each Other Organization Earth keeps up the good work during the COVID-19 crisis by distributing medical face masks to the residents of Skaramagka Refugee Camp, the biggest such camp in the vicinity of Athens.

The health emergency that is currently hitting the world does not put on hold the humanitarian crisis that displacement represents. This is why Supporter of Each Other Organization Earth, through its branch Hope Sports and as part of ANKAA Project’s, distributed medical face masks to the residents of Skaramagka Refugee Camp, the biggest of such a camp in the vicinity of Athens.

The masks, which ANKAA Project generously donated, were distributed on the 11th of May to the camp’s residents by the volunteers of the organisations, giving refugees and displaced people a tool of protection. When people live so close together, often in insufficient hygienic conditions, avoiding the spreading of diseases can be very difficult.

Supporter of Each Other Organization Earth is a Greek-based NGO, which aim is to consolidate the concept of sustainable development, as defined by the 17 UN global objectives, by providing non-formal experiential education for all ages.

The Organization Earth’s programmes are implemented in different locations within the urban area of Athens, with particular attention to schools, refugees reception facilities and the Standard Environmental Learning Centre created by the Ilion-Attic Organization, called the “Earth Centre”. For their implementation, the Earth Organization has established partnerships with companies, local government agencies, the academic community, charities and a number of civil society organizations inside and outside Greece. Organization Earth is one of our project partners in the Step4Youth project that promotes the employability and social inclusion of refugees.
