One-Off AFC Shirts Available For AFCCT Day Auction

One-off Aberdeen FC shirts which were worn earlier this month during a 3-1 victory over Motherwell at Pittodrie are now available for auction.

The one-off kit was introduced for AFC’s annual AFCCT Day (Aberdeen FC Community Trust) to assist with fundraising activity and raise further awareness of AFCCT’s ongoing efforts to maximise the potential of the club’s communities by improving physical and mental well-being and providing inclusive opportunities to change lives for the better.

The Trust focuses on two main themes, Education and Positive destinations, and Football, Health, and Well-being. Over the past year, AFCCT has engaged with a total of 4,208 participants from 17 primaries and seven secondaries, representing 165,523 interactions. Meanwhile, the Trust’s health and wellbeing programmes attracted 4,160 participations in 2021-22, of which 42 participants are living with dementia.

Graeme Shinnie’s matchworn signed shirt from the match fetched £1,000 at the Trust’s business lunch last Friday with Duk’s jersey netting £900!

The Trust’s work in local schools uses a shared passion for football and the power of the Aberdeen Football Club brand as a starting point to close the poverty-related attainment gap and support wellbeing.

In 2018, the UEFA SFA Social Return on Investment report demonstrated AFCCT, and partners were helping to add £97million of value to the region through its work in encouraging participation in football and delivering football-related activities in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.
