Olympique Lyonnais renews “Goals for Women” initiative

For the fourth consecutive year, FDJ and Olympique Lyonnais have announced the renewal of the “Goals for Women” initiative. For each goal scored by OL, from the 27th to the 38th day of the Ligue 1 Uber Eats, FDJ will donate 500 euros to a fund dedicated to the development of women’s soccer.

Once again this year, FDJ will be able to count on the commitment and support of Camille Abily, assistant coach of the OL FĂ©minin, to support the development and influence of this operation within its community. The money collected at the end of the championship will be donated to the eight winning associations of the call for projects launched by the Fondaction du Football on access to soccer for all, the feminization of management and governance, and performance throughout the territory.

The call for projects from the Fondaction du Football, in partnership with FDJ, is officially open to all amateur clubs in France for the period from March 1 to 31, 2022, via the Fondaction du Football website. FDJ and the Fondaction du Football are now calling on all amateur clubs committed to women’s soccer to apply. The winning associations will be chosen on May 23 by a jury made up of representatives from Olympique Lyonnais, Olympique de Marseille, and FDJ, and they will share the total amount obtained from the goals scored by the two professional clubs.

Since 2016, FDJ has developed the “Sport pour Elles” program to support women’s sports. This program is based on four pillars: access to sports for all, the feminization of governance, support for performance, and media coverage of women’s sports.
