New Mental Health Partnership
Back Onside and our member Dundee FC in the Community Trust are delighted to announce a partnership to focus and promote Mental Health and well-being. This will be via initiatives including educational workshops, group discussions, physical activities and when required specialist counselling offered by Back Onside.
Due to a recent donation from ScotMid, the Trust will have enhanced telephone support to offer to signpost more individuals to Back Onside for that specialist 1 to 1 support and to offer a wider range of support out-with mental health.
Back Onside are a Scottish Charity looking to tackle those and support those with Mental Health issues, their work sees them working at all levels of Sport and also amazing work in the wider Communities, schools and businesses in various capacities . They offer a variety of support levels and have the experience and expertise within their network including professional 1 to 1 counselling, workshops, educational programmes and focussed activities to assist with recovery and promote a healthier lifestyle.
Speaking to founder Libby from Back Onside she said “We at Back Onside have the experience in providing a professional, safe, confidential space and support network to all. Working alongside the DFC Community Trust recognition it allows a collective plan to ensure that mental health is prioritised and signposted across the Communities reach. It is important that help is there if its required in a safe and confidential environment. Greg Fenton, Manager of DFC in the Community Trust said “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Back Onside, delivering mental health support to individuals across our city and local communities. We will be signposting individuals to Back Onside so they can receive the specialist counselling, along-with Back Onside supporting our programmes that we offer. The Trust adheres to the strictest confidentiality and the support that Back Onside will provide to the individual will be confidential between Back Onside and the individual.
