Naoberschap United becomes FC Emmen Naoberschap
The Naoberschap United Foundation has changed its name. The foundation of Dutch EFDN member FC Emmen is now called: FC Emmen Naoberschap.
FC Emmen has been making progress in the social field for years with its foundation. Under the name Naoberschap United, the club has already worked to combat loneliness among the elderly, to make children read more and live healthier, to help people with a distance to the labour market back into work and much more.
The club wants to emphasise and promote its social role even more in the coming years. And that includes a new name: FC Emmen Naoberschap.
Jos Schaart, CSR manager at FC Emmen: “We noticed that the supporters and organisations close to us know well that Naoberschap United belongs to FC Emmen, but the people who are a little further from the club do not know that. That is why we choose this new name. Nothing will change except for the name; we simply want to promote internally and externally that all social projects are organised by the foundation of the club.”
