NAC OldStars visited Moerdijk’s Harbour

Last Wednesday, the 60 participants of the ‘NAC OldStars’ programme experienced a special day. Instead of being on the pitch, the team made an excursion to the harbour of Moerdijk.

The day trip was organised by Sivomatic, a multinational company that is cooperating with NAC Breda since 2016. Sivomatic is showing their financial support for several amateur programmes and in that regard also provided the NAC OldStars with the opportunity of taking part in an excursion.

Next to Sivomatic, the trip was supported by Arriva, who facilitated the transportation of NAC’s Walking Football participants to the harbour of Moerdijk.

Arriving at Moerdijk, the 60 participants were received by Sivomatic’s director Peter Versveldt. After listening to a presentation, the group received an exclusive tour through the factory, which was followed by a delicious lunch at the harbour of Moerdijk and a tour through the industrial area.

Frans Luijken, 66 years, looks back on a great day, “this is exactly what I enjoy about the NAC OldStars programme. It is not just about football, there is much more. Especially all the joint activities”.

Also Teamplay@NAC experienced the day as having been great, among other due to the great support of their partners Sivomatic and Arriva.

NAC Breda jointly works together with a variety of civil society actors. The social department of the club, Teamplay@NAC, delivers in cooperation with the partners a variety of social programmes, benefiting the community.
