NAC Makes Debut in Special Eredivisie
Last Sunday, NAC made its debut in the Special Eredivisie. This special league opens the door to professional football for children with disabilities. The competition allows them to shine for their beloved football club, NAC Breda.
After last season’s successful pilot, it was time for the NAC G-Talents to face big opponents. ADO Den Haag and SC Heerenveen were the opponents at the very first tournament at host Ajax Amsterdam last Sunday. Full of confidence, the talents headed to Amsterdam to play their first tournament. After a 1-0 defeat against ADO Den Haag, they recovered and won 5-2 against SC Heerenveen. Fun and pride prevailed this day.
Next season, the NAC G-Talents will travel to FC Emmen, AZ Alkmaar and VVV-Venlo. To prepare the players, a number of training sessions are scheduled every month and they will attend workshops.
In any case, the NAC G-Talents are already in the hearts of NAC supporters. Last 6 October, the Yellow Army became acquainted with the team when a number of boys and girls turned the stadium upside down during the half-time activity in the NAC Breda – FC Groningen match. Fantastic to see how the children enjoyed themselves, but also how enthusiastically the crowd cheered on the players.
