#Morton50daychallenge, from June 5th to July 25th, by Greenock Morton

Morton Community’s 50-day 5k challenge has returned and begins with a five kilometre walk or jog around the hallowed Cappielow turf on Monday 5 June 2017.

Fundraisers are challenged to walk, jog, cycle or swim at least five kilometres for five of seven days each week.

The challenge ends on Tuesday 25 July with an organised walk and celebration evening here at Cappielow.

Last year, the 50-day challenge raised over £3,000, with 50 per cent of this total invested in the Community projects and 50 per cent shared with local charities.

Gordon McKillop, Operations Manager at Morton Community, said: “The 50-day challenge is an excellent incentive to keep, or become, more active whilst raising money for local charities.

“Fund raisers select a charity of their choice and the money raised is split evenly between Morton Community and their nominated charity.

“Morton Community plan to invest donations across our four areas of activity, which are sport, health, education and employability.”

To sign up or for further enquiries please email admin@mortoncommunity.net or call 01475 731949. Fundraisers can share their journey with us by using #Morton50daychallenge.

The highest fundraiser will win a signed Morton 2017/18 shirt.
