#Morethanfootball Football & Education Action Day!
On 24 March we are calling all clubs, leagues and FAs to highlight their Football & Education Action Day initiatives. We have gathered a few examples of how football organisations have worked with pupils across Europe on this topics.
OM Foundation
OM Foundation’s “CAHIER DES OLYMPIENS” project. In addition, the project involves the distribution of the Cahier des Olympiens at the beginning of the school year to all public and private schools in Marseille (more than 11,000 students and teachers), as well as the animation of this educational tool through meetings and constructive exchanges with professional players during the season.
Northhampton Town FC Community Trust
NTFC Community Trust is supporting to develop healthier, happier and physically literate children who can excel in the classroom as well as on the sports field.
Big Hearts
Aberdeen FC Community Trust
Working in primary and secondary schools across the Northeast of Scotland, we use the power of football and the passion for Aberdeen FC to encourage pupil engagement in the classroom and beyond.
STEM
Through the European Football Development Network (EFDN) funded STEM Project, Aberdeen FC Community Trust delivered the curriculum to 617 pupils across 9 of our partner schools. The six-week programme gives pupils the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of STEM subjects through varied activities and to develop an understanding of new technologies.
YOUTH AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME
Through our Youth Ambassador programme, supported by Brighter Futures, we are able to prepare young people for life after school through goal setting, skills development, work experience and volunteering.
