Lewis Walker – Speaker at the 22nd EFDN Conference

Lewis Walker, Operations Manager at ADO Den Haag’s #ADOgroen foundation, will be a featured speaker at the 22nd EFDN #MoreThanFootball Conference in Leuven, Belgium, on the 20th of November. With a passion for football and community support, Lewis has devoted nearly five years to the field of Football and Social Responsibility, bringing dedication and expertise to his role at ADO Den Haag’s community foundation, #ADOgroen.

One of the initiatives closest to Lewis’s heart was a collaboration with Make-A-Wish, designed to bring joy to a young child recovering from a serious illness. The child’s unforgettable day began with a limousine arrival at the stadium, followed by a special ‘ADO Den Haag’ cake. He then signed an official contract with the club, tackled questions from the press, and met his idol, Ricardo Kishna, at ADO Den Haag’s training grounds.

Lewis’s presentation, titled “#ADOgroen: A Green Transition,” will delve into the topic of sustainability within football. His talk will cover three main aspects:

Redefining Priorities: exploring #ADOgroen’s strategic shift to make sustainability a core focus, and the impact of this transition on both the foundation and the football club.

Building Connections: discussing how the integration of sustainability has strengthened the relationship between #ADOgroen and ADO Den Haag, creating new avenues for collaboration and community engagement.

Lessons Learned and Looking Forward: sharing key insights and practical learnings from #ADOgroen’s journey, offering actionable advice for organizations seeking to embed sustainability into their mission.

Attendees at the 22nd EFDN Conference will gain valuable insights into #ADOgroen’s journey, discovering how sustainability initiatives can enhance community foundations within the world of football.
