Levante UD Ambassador Ricardo Ten, Becomes Double World Champion in Glasgow
Ricardo, one of Spain’s most successful Paralympic athletes and ambassador of Levante UD and its Foundation, continues to demonstrate his talent and dedication to sport in every competition, and Glasgow is no exception.
Ricardo Ten, made history again at the Adaptive Track Cycling World Championships in Glasgow. On the 7th of August, Ten won two more gold medals to add to his already extensive trophy cabinet, in the Scratch and Omnium categories, making a total of 13 rainbow jerseys in his career.
In the Scratch race, Ricardo dominated the 60-lap race from start to finish, with the final blow with 15 laps to go, and was joined on the podium by Germany’s Pierre Senska and Aaron Keith of the USA. This victory allowed Ricardo to score enough points for the joint Omnium, also proclaiming himself champion.
The Levante UD Foundation congratulates Ricardo Ten, its ambassador since 2012, for his impressive achievement, for his commitment to sport and social inclusion, as well as being a reference for all those who fight every day to achieve their goals.
“Ricardo is an example for all of us. His dedication, effort and passion for sport are an inspiration to all those who strive to achieve their goals. We are very proud to have him as an ambassador for our Foundation and we will continue to support him in everything he needs.”
