Legia invites families to special event in June
On Saturday, June 2nd, Legia Warsaw, the Legia Foundation and the Legia Soccer Schools Foundation will organise ‘Lazienkowska Day’ – a great family picnic at the Legia Stadium, promising an event full of joy and laughter for all participants.
‘Lazienkowska Day’ (‘Święto Łazienkowskiej‘), a big family event open to everyone, will take place on June 2nd at the Legia Stadium. Throughout the day, participants can participate in a wide variety of sports, cultural and educational activities. One of the major attractions will be the opportunity to take a photo of the league trophy won by Legia this season and the ceremonial handover of an ambulance to the “Monument – Children’s Health Center” Institute.
The ambulance is painted in the colours of the club and will be officially handed over to the Institute – Memorial – Children’s Health Center. The special vehicle was purchased mainly thanks to the great action of the Legia Foundation, the initiators of this fundraising campaign; the “Good People – Legia Kids” group; and the Association of Legia Warsaw Supporters – #WszyscyDoWioseł 2017.
There will also be a ceremonial training session of the first team and young players from Legia Soccer Schools at the stadium of the club. The children come from over 100 Legia Soccer Schools from all over Poland. Over 4,000 young players aged from 3 to 14 will take part in these training sessions under the supervision of over 80 trainers.
During the Ekstra Class Academy training, an activity organised by Ekstraklasa SA, boys and girls can participate in football games, fitness exercises and competitions. The children can check their shooting strength and other reflexes, and run a football obstacles track.
Throughout the day, visitors can take part in the charity raffle of the Legia Foundation. All profits will go to the social programmes of the Legia foundation. Prizes include a weekend at the Narvil hotel; a trip to the Legia Soccer Schools camp for one child and parent; Kasia Kowalska and Sławek Uniatowski plates; baskets of sweets from Bakalland; vouchers for Legia matches and vouchers to be used in the official club store. For the youngest visitors, there are activities such as face painting or a visit to the mascot clubhouse – Miska Kazka. Older visitors can take part in workshops on water safety conducted by Kliwer.
Other sports, including basketball, judo, tennis, rowing and volleyball can be played in different sections of the stadium. Additionally, the partners of the Legia Foundation will present their work throughout the stadium. The Legia Foundation will create an educational zone in the Skybox building in cooperation with Katalyst Education and the Katalyst Engineering Foundation.
Other games and attractions will be located on the promenades of the Eastern Tribune. The event is supported by: Ekstraklasa SA, Bakalland, Budlex SA, Adamed Group, ZPC Bałtyk, Ele Taxi, Hilton, Pepsi, Multikino, Grycan, OEX Business Service and TM Flota.
