La Fundación Athletic Club Gives Masks for Its Projects

Athletic Club Foundation kicked off its social projects for the 2020/21 season with a donation of masks at their headquarters in Ibagiane. Present for the symbolic ceremony were presidents of Athletic Club, Aitor Elizegi, and its Foundation, Juan Carlos Ercoreca. The common goal of those in attendance is that the new season proceeds with relative normality while always maintaining the established health measures against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Athletic Club Foundation faces the road ahead aware that it will be marked by the health crisis. Both in terms of time and possibilities, Covid-19 will be the main protagonist during this new season. The foundation’s objective is to adapt all of its on-site projects, both social as well as sporting and cultural, to this new situation with the least possible impact on project objectives. To this end, they are working hand in hand with the different associations, foundations and institutions that they collaborate with to meet the challenges occasioned by the pandemic.

They were accompanied by director Goyo Arbizu, and José Ángel Iribar, Andoni Goikoetxea and Eli Ibarra who were responsible for the ceremony. Also in attendance were representatives from Utopia (Clara Campoamor Association and Integrando Foundation), Bizitegi, Gizakia, Zabaloetxe and Udaloste, from various associations that the foundation collaborates with in its social projects. They received samples of the red and white masks featuring Athletic’s shield and the foundation’s logo.

The associations were represented by Izaskun Gutiérrez, representing the Clara Campoamor Association and the Integrando Foundation; Ibon Olmo from Bizitegi; Aitor Ipiña of Gizakia; and Xabi Campos and José Carlos de Miguel representing Zabaloetxe and Udaloste.
