Kindred Group becomes offical EFDN Programme partner Active Fans
EFDN are pleased to confirm Kindred as the official programme partner of the Active Fans programme.
The Kindred Group’s reputation for innovation along with their focus on operating ethically, with integrity, sustainably and on promoting a healthy lifestyle, makes them an excellent fit for the partnership on the Active Fans programme and we would look forward to working together with them.
Active Fans is a EFDN programme in collaboration with 9 EFDN member clubs across 7 countries which uses football as a tool to reach men and women from the ages of 35 years and older who would like to get physically active again, make lifestyle changes and improve their diets.
Within the Active Fans programme, the participants receive the opportunity to learn about nutrition, get physically active and start to feel the benefits of weight loss and increased energy. In recent years, a number of clubs and organisations in Europe have developed methodologies for a similar programme, promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyle for that particular target group and through the Active Fans programme, EFDN will look to develop a common methodology which can be rolled out as best practice across Europe.
Hubert Rovers, CEO of EFDN said: “Just like Kindred, the EFDN combines sport and social responsibility. As football can have a hugely positive impact on society, we saw a natural fit between EFDN and Kindred – we’re really proud to have the Kindred Group as partners in the Active Fans Programme.”
