KAA Gent supports Ghent Youth Soccer with € 75,000
Twelve local Ghent football clubs together receive € 75,000 for their youth activities. The money comes from the Elk Talent Telt support fund in Ghent, an initiative of KAA Gent.
Elk Talent Telt (Every Talent Counts) is a project of the KAA Gent Foundation. All Ghent football clubs with youth football are partners in the project. Together they work on a high-quality football space in Ghent. In recent weeks, the KAA Gent Foundation evaluated the operation of the 12 partner clubs and approved a total of € 75,000 in financial support. With this initiative, the Elk Talent Telt support fund, KAA Ghent is helping all Ghent youth football activities grow with the success of the Buffalos.
The Elk Talent Telt support fund is used to further support and stimulate partner clubs in their growth. KAA Gent evaluated files submitted by the clubs and of the Elk Talent Telt cooperation of the last 2018-19 season. The club evaluated, for example, the categories governance, social functioning, and participation in Elk Talent Telt initiatives. The findings that have been formulated can be a guideline for the development of partner clubs.
Well-being of youngsters is key
In 2014, the city of Ghent and KAA Gent awarded an important role to the KAA Gent Foundation in the support of youth football in Gent. Together, the clubs in the city have one goal: creating a pleasant football environment in Gent where the well-being of the children and youngsters is key and where every young player (male or female) gets the opportunity to develop both on a personal and on a sportive level, because Every Talent Counts.
