KAA Gent collects relief goods for Lviv Arena

The war in Ukraine continues. Thousands of war refugees are accommodated in the football stadium in Lviv. For them, EFDN member KAA Gent organises a new collection of relief goods this week. The goods are collected until Saturday, May 21 at the KAA Gent Fanshop.

The Lviv football stadium, where KAA Gent met Shakthar Donetsk in the 2016 Europa League, is today a reception centre for war refugees. Shakhtar Social, the foundation of FC Shakhtar Donetsk, coordinates the initiative. It is at their request that the club and other EFDN members are organising this collection of relief goods.

Football for Peace

Together with the European Football for Development (EFDN), several European football clubs support the initiative of Shakhtar Social. The collected goods will be transported to Lviv at the end of May with a second transport via the colleagues of Legia Warsaw.
