Juventus FC celebrates the differences on “Christmas Jumper Day”
On the occasion of the “Christmas Jumper Day 2019” – a day dedicated to Christmas sweaters organised by Save the Children – Juventus FC took the opportunity to announce its new community initiative. The club supports the Punto Luce of Save the Children in the coming years to celebrate the differences and promote education in a community center located 800 meters from Allianz Stadium.
Punto Luce is a community center that is part of the “Let’s light up the future” campaign launched by Save the Children starting in 2014 where girls, boys and adolescents can participate in free educational activities, that are indispensable for their development and their future, thus regaining the opportunity to cultivate one’s dreams, talents and aspirations.
Juventus’ contribution in favour of the Vallette Punto Luce in Turin, will allow the doubling of the space currently available in the structure, thus transforming the center – which since 2014 has been used by almost 1,000 children – to a real educational hub open to the many businesses active in the area. In addition to activities of the Punto Luce, those of the Mamme Space will also be integrated. This is another Save the Children project for mothers and children between 0 and 6 years old.
Juventus President, Andrea Agnelli said: “In these years through football and its planning, Juventus has been responsibly committed to its stakeholders. Today, the world asks us for evolution, a change of pace”
“Education and the younger generations are the cornerstones of our commitment and the partnership with Save the Children represents an important step on this path. In addition to supporting children and families in the area, which remains the main objective, this opportunity is also addressed to the people of Juventus and our partners. It is a new possibility to learn and grow together by putting yourself in the game on a new field”, he added.
