Juventus donated over three tons of meals to those in need

In times of hardship for society, it’s great to see our member club, Juventus FC is giving back to the community. The Italian Cup semi-finals between Juventus and AC Milan and Napoli and Inter Milan were postponed last week.  Regardless of this, Juventus decided to go ahead with the food preparations and donated it to those in need.

Over three tons of meals is the amount of food that, on the occasion of Juventus-Milan, was initially scheduled for Wednesday evening, which would have been on sale in the bars and refreshment points around Allianz Stadium. In addition to that, there was also food that was initially intended for over 4 000 people within the Premium Clubs.

Even though the fixture was canceled, Juventus decided to prepare the food anyway, for the postponed fixture and to specifically donate it to those in need. This was done with thanks to the help of four associations in Turin, which took care, between Wednesday and yesterday morning, the collection and distribution of food: Banco Alimentare, SERMIG, Community of Sant’Egidio and Specchio dei Tempi Foundation. it is an initiative that has involved four voluntary associations in Turin.
