İstanbul Başakşehir FK launches a special Family Stand!
During the month of August 2023, Turkish football cub – İstanbul Başakşehir FK launched the ‘Family Stand’ Project with the contribution of Başakşehir Municipality to connect with the local community, in particular the children of the community.
The Club redesigned an area in the West Stand A Block of the Stadium, called “The Owl’s Nest”, as a playground and entertainment area for kids aged 0-6 years old. Families are also able to watch the game whilst their kids play in front. The project kicked off last Sunday, during the first home game of İstanbul Başakşehir, against VavaCars Fatih Karagumruk in the second week of the 2023-24 season.
Additionally, prematch entertainment is also designed outside of the Stadium for kids, including a player’s attendance every week. For the first event on Sunday, Brazilian football player Joao Figueiredo attended to a conversation with the kids.
The Club aims to connect more with the local community through this project, to integrate with their district as a club that not only trains players, but also engages with their fans. Additionally, they aim to accompany the kids’ journey to become Başakşehir supporters in the future.
