Inter Campus visits FK Sarajevo to discuss future cooperation
On April 17th, FK Sarajevo warmly welcomed representatives of Inter Campus to discuss possibilities of future collaboration on CSR initiatives.
Recently, a delegation of Inter Campus visited the organisation’s local community programme in Bosnia Herzegovina to monitor its progress. As part of the visit, the delegation met with FK Sarajevo to use the opportunity to talk about the possibilities of establishing a closer cooperation in the future. The meeting allowed both parties to exchange knowledge, ideas and best practices on existing CSR programmes, approaches and strategies. Additionally, the organisations dedicated time to discussing to what extent joint programmes could be established in order to have an impact on the local community. Also the concept of staff exchanges between Inter Campus and SK Sarajevo was discussed as a possible initiative which could facilitate the sharing of best practices.
After the meeting that took place at the head office of FK Sarajevo, the delegation of Inter Campus was invited to FK Sarajevo’s new training center in Butmir, where they watched the training of the Bosnian club’s Youth Academy. The training gave the Inter Campus delegation the opportunity to learn more about FK Sarajevo’s training methods and approach. FK Sarajevo in particular emphasised the quality of the training ground which provides young players with an excellent infrastructure and environment for young talents.
FK Sarajevo and Inter Campus first started closer collaborating at the 9th and 10th EFDN conferences where also the idea of the delegation visit originated. EFDN strongly believes that sharing best practices between member clubs can have a major impact on the quality of their CSR programmes. Therefore, EFDN is especially glad to see such close cooperation evolving within the Network.
Bringing clubs together to exchange knowledge and experiences provides the opportunity to make existing programmes more efficient, and it gives the opportunity to set-up a new programme with a club that is more experience in a certain field. We are glad that EFDN members are organising visits and learning best practices from each other, and are looking forward to more EFDN members doing the same. Also in the past months, we were able to see clubs coming together in one-on-one exchanges to collaborate and work on shared projects. Similar projects took place in the past between Shakhtar Donetsk and Feyenoord Rotterdam, as well as IF Elfsborg, Vitesse Arnhem and Feyenoord Rotterdam.
