Inclusion in Sport: LFP helps visually impaired spectators

In France, 1 person in 1,000 is blind. 1 in 100 is visually impaired, or about 1.7 million visually impaired people. There are solutions for inclusion in sports and better accessibility.

Before the match, Stade de Reims – FC Lorient, the LFP (Ligue de Football Professionnel) participated live from the Stade Auguste-Delaune in a broadcast of France Bleu Champagne-Ardennes specially dedicated to the accessibility of stadiums for visually impaired spectators.

With its partnership with HandiCaPZéro, the LFP is the only championship to offer guides in Braille, large print, and audio-description for 10 years. Each season, 5000 guides are distributed by HandiCaPZéro which also offers a follow-up of the championships on its dedicated website and is adapted to visually impaired people.
