Hearts to Support Local Charity with Proceeds from Stadium Cut-out Sales
Scottish club Heart of Midlothian and its charity arm, Big Hearts Community Trust, is offering fans the chance to take their ‘place in the crowd’ by purchasing a cut-out of themselves at their stadium, Tynecastle. The cut-outs will be placed on seats ahead of their first home game of the 2020/21 season and remain in place for every home match until supporters can safely return to the ground.
Supporters can take their seat at Tynecastle for just £22, and with every one sold, £2 will be donated to Social Bite, a sandwich shop that gives away all its profits to good causes in Scotland. Heart of Midlothian has worked closely with Social Bite since lockdown began, with Hearts staff and Big Hearts volunteers volunteering their time to help produce more than 138,000 food parcels at Tynecastle. The donations made will help Social Bite continue to deliver support to some of the most vulnerable communities across Scotland.
Hearts supporters can secure their cut-out at Tynecastle Park ahead of the first game of the season by visiting the Hearts’ ‘Fans at the Game’ website on a mobile device by clicking here. Upon agreeing to the terms and conditions, they will allow their device camera to take a picture, don their Hearts jersey and make sure they fit in the silhouette. Once satisfied, they proceed to take the picture and approve it. To finalise the process, they will make a secure online payment. A confirmation email of the purchase and the cut-outs will then be delivered to Tynecastle and installed in the stands.
