Great end of exciting NAC Street League season
The NAC Street League season has come to a banging close with the grand Final Days on the parking lot of the Rat Verlegh Stadium. Last week, schools from Breda and Geertruidenberg enjoyed a festive sports festival.
The theme of the programme of the final days was the history of NAC. Participants were immersed in the theme through football-related games. The grounds included five different zones, each featuring an event from NAC’s history. Teams could compete in football games, foot volleyball, football bowling and much more. During the final days, the sounds of a DJ made it a real party. All participants competed for various (individual) prizes, which were distributed, not only on football skills on the day itself but also on sportsmanship. The winner of the entire season was awarded the main prize: a school trip for the entire school year.
The NAC Breda Street League is part of the Community Champions League which is an EFDN project in partnership with nine community-engaged football clubs from the Netherlands, England, Scotland, Norway, Portugal, Hungary, Belgium and Germany. NAC Breda, Feyenoord, Aberdeen FC, Chelsea FC, Club Brugge, SV Werder Bremen, Vålerenga Fotball, Ferencvarosi TC and SL Benfica deliver the Pan-European programme in collaboration with EFDN.
The Community Champions League is a social street football competition organised locally in nine cities in eight different European countries, where the participating teams can win more points through Fair-Play, Fair Support and Volunteering in community activities than by winning their street football matches.
With the aim of promoting social integration through sport, the Community Champions League provides the opportunity for people from different cultures to come together to build relationships and friendships while breaking down barriers through the prevention of violence, racism and intolerance in grassroots sports and their communities.
