Getafe CF Foundation teams up with literature
Football and literature go hand in hand thanks to the collaboration agreement signed between Getafe CF Foundation and Nórdica Libros SLU.
Both entities join forces to encourage reading. The collaboration will enable the realisation of different cultural and sporting projects, on the basis of which they seek to encourage reading in all sectors of society.
With this union they intend to assist in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) of the United Nations, and in particular its number 4 goal related to education.
Diego García, Director of the Foundation, highlighted; “The importance of this initiative, as well as the transversality of reading and the positive effects of it on society.
Football is a platform to create a better society and promote positive values. After all, football and literature are not so different when it is about emotions.”
The first event to be held as a result of their collaboration agreement will be the presentation of Rachel Ignotofsky’s book “Women in Sport”, which will take place on March 8th, the International Women’s Day. The event will see the participation of the President of the Higher Sports Council, Irene Lozano and will be streamed via Getafe CF’s Youtube channel.
