Get Started With Football – a great opportunity by Rangers for young people
Working in partnership with The Prince’s Trust, Get Started With Football sees participants go through an intensive five day course learning the basics of coaching and is held at various venues including the Rangers Football Centre at Auchenhowie, the Rangers Study Support Centre at Ibrox Stadium and Ibrox Community Complex.
The Rangers Charity Foundation exists to bring clubs, supporters, staff and players together in a unique way in order to make a difference to thousands of people by means of a range of charitable and community work.
The next Get Started With Football programme runs in Glasgow from May 14-18th with an information day on Wednesday May 9th. The programme not only develops coaching expertise, but also helps participants increase their confidence, self-esteem and general employability skills.
At the end of the course participants receive a certificate at a special celebration event and are given three months of additional support to help them take their next steps into further education or employment and potentially a career in football coaching.
