General recap of the first day of the Conference!

We started this beautiful day with a kick-off from our Chairman of the EFDN Board, Ton Strooband. Where he took a moment to thank Ferencváros, talked about the importance of Sustainability and Human Rights. From that moment on we could say that we were really on our way!

Ferencváros started after the opening and gave us a warm welcome to their home. Pal Orosz told us about the way the club changed after the new stadium and about all the achievements they’ve reached such as reaching the Champions League.

Throughout the day, we enjoyed many presentations and various panels such as the Safeguarding Panel and a Sustainability Panel. We learned a lot of new things during those panels and presentations.

An important part of the day were the More Than Football Awards during the day they all held a presentation where they presented their project and what they were trying to reach with that project. With the ultimate goal of winning the Musco Playground in their city!

We still had some flexibility left during the first day of the conference which we filled in with the 8 different Breakout Sessions. Tackling multiple subjects to reach multiple interest during the same hours.

When we’ve finished the last Breakout Sessions we had only one thing left. A thank you speech from our CEO Hubert Rovers. Talking about our current and future projects & events.

With a great feeling we closed down at the Ferencváros stadium for the day, but that wasn’t the end of the day. We took off to the Donau to jump on a boat for our amazing Gala Dinner with the presentation of the MoreThanFootball Award!

During the Gala Hubert Rovers took his moment to hand the Award to the club who got the most votes during the day…

On behalf of all EFDN, we would like to congratulate Northampton with their winning project!
