Foundation 92’s New Community Garden: Enhancing Wellbeing in Salford

As a proud member of the EFDN, Foundation 92 recently launched a remarkable community garden project, showcasing the commitment in creating community wellbeing and social inclusion. This initiative, developed in partnership with Bupa UK Foundation and Clarion Futures, provides Salford residents with a vibrant, accessible green space at The Sutton Community Centre.

This garden serves as a sanctuary for relaxation, social connection, and sustainable food growth, embodying Foundation 92’s dedication to enhancing lives through accessible community resources. To support the initiative’s maintenance and community engagement, Foundation 92 plans to hire a Horticulture and Environmental Officer who will organise educational workshops focused on sustainable food production, environmental awareness, and wellness practices for families. These sessions, aimed at promoting eco-friendly living and community cohesion, reflect the Foundation’s broader mission of supporting communities through sports and education.

“We’re proud to have launched the community garden alongside Bupa UK Foundation and Clarion Futures. The garden looks fantastic, and we’re excited to see the positive impact it will have on the local community.”
