FOUNDATION 92 WIN COMMUNITY CLUB OF THE YEAR

Foundation 92 (F92) has been recognised for its outstanding contribution to the community by winning the Community Club of the Year Award (all other leagues) at the Armstrong Projects Northwest Football Awards (NWFA) 2024. The event, was held at The Point at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester, and brought together 500 esteemed guests from the football world to celebrate the achievements of clubs, communities, and unsung heroes.

F92’s efforts in supporting vulnerable young people and adults were at the heart of this recognition. Over the course of 2024, the Foundation engaged with more than 17,500 individuals and delivered upwards of 26,000 hours of community programmes. Tom Hutton, Head of Foundation 92, shared his pride in the team’s accomplishments, stating, “This award is a testament to the work we do to support communities across the region. Congratulations to all the winners and finalists for making it a memorable evening.”

Notably, Foundation 92 was also shortlisted for the European Football for Development Network’s (EFDN) More Than Football Award, which shows its position as a leader in social responsibility and community engagement within the football sector.

Laura Wolfe, owner of the NWFA, remarked, “The Northwest continues to showcase the incredible power of football to unite communities. Congratulations to Foundation 92 and everyone involved in making a difference.”

This recognition showcases Foundation 92’s inspiring efforts, proving that football is about much more than the game inside the 4 lines but it’s also about creating lasting change and improving lives.
