Football Works Festival 2020 cancelled

Due to governmental restrictions regarding COVID-19, EFDN and the Dutch Department of Justice (DJI) have to cancel the Football Works Festival in Vught, which was planned for 28 October. We will organise the next edition of the unique event in 2021.

The event is the perfect platform for football clubs and prisons from across Europe that offer work placement programmes for vulnerable target groups. Former participants, employees and role models are rewarded with a unique experience within the walls of a Dutch prison, showing the world that football actually contributes to a safer society. Together with the football tournament, which will involve 12 teams from across Europe, the Football Works Festival includes also a special Football Works Conference. Representatives of prisons, governments, football clubs and NGOs can attend presentations of best practice programmes and share their knowledge and experience.
