Football organisations promote education worldwide

The #Morethanfootball Action Weeks have started last week and the second Action Day is here: The Education Action Day.

We want to promote the fundamental role of education by highlighting the participants’ great initiatives creating access or improving education in their local communities.

Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 states that education opens doors to the job market, combats inequality, reduces child mortality, promotes environmental engagement and is essential in breaking the cycle of poverty. During the ongoing pandemic not all children and youth have access to (digital) education in the same way. Students are struggling to find jobs and can suffer from loneliness.

Online classes, online resources, donations of school supplies, virtual check-ins with students and providing books; football organisations have continued to demonstrate that they are #Morethanfootball throughout the last months.

Join us and help us to promote education for everyone! You can find some inspiration in the excellent initiatives mentioned below.
