The European Football for Development Network (EFDN) will host its 17th EFDN ‘#Morethanfootball’ Conference as from 09-11 May 2022 in the home city of two EFDN members in Liverpool on the 9th and 10th of May 2022. EFDN members Liverpool FC and Everton FC will host the Conference in Anfield and Goodison Park.
This conference is the perfect platform for organisations of all shapes and sizes to share ideas and develop new concepts. EFDN is excited to meet its members and partners again in person at the largest gathering of Community and Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance( ESG) experts in European professional football. Antoine Brandenburg – JOGG
Antoine Brandenburg, Advisor JOGG-approach at Jogg, is the next confirmed speaker at our 17th EFDN ‘#Morethanfootball’ Conference in Liverpool on 9-11 May 2022.
Antoine advises local goverments in the Netherlands by implementing the JOGG-approach as an integral method to create a healthy social and physical environment of youth. Within JOGG, Antoine is as well involved in the ‘Healthy Sports Environment’ team, especially to integrate the social impact of professional football clubs within the JOGG-approach. In the past he worked for several Dutch local governments. He also worked as a professional youth coach at NAC Breda and in Vancouver (Canada).
In this presentation, Antoine and Esther will share their knowledge and experience on how to create a social and physical healthy environment by using a community based approach. This approach (called JOGG) involves and challenges everyone in the community to make a positive impact for a healthy future for our youth. It targets not only the child’s behavior, but in particular it focuses on making a healthier social and physical environment. To achieve this, JOGG works together with policy makers from the national and local government, as well as with professionals from the public and private sectors. Also professional football clubs can create a valuable impact within the community based approach. In this presentation, Antoine and his colleague will inspire you with examples from the Netherlands on how you can create a healthy environment and be a healthy role model.

Esther de Witte – JOGG
Esther de Witte, advisor and project manager healthy sports environment at Jogg, is the next confirmed speaker at our 17th EFDN ‘#Morethanfootball’ Conference in Liverpool on 9-11 May 2022.
Esther is passionate about sports and human behaviour. Her studies and background as a (sports)psychologist combined with working for JOGG makes that she perfectly knows how to change human behaviour and make social impact by creating a healthy environment. In her role as an advisor and project manager Esther works a lot with Dutch sports clubs including professional football clubs to create a healthy environment within and around the clubs.

Philipp Hessberger – Eintracht Frankfurt Fussball AG
Philipp Heßberger, Advisor to the Executive Board at Eintracht Frankfurt Fussball AG, is the next confirmed speaker at our 17th EFDN ‘#Morethanfootball’ Conference in Liverpool on 9-11 May 2022.
Philipp Heßberger joined Eintracht Frankfurt as an Advisor to the Executive Board in 2019. In his role, he is responsible for strategic projects across various club dimensions including the development of a sustainability / ESG strategy and the generation of new business models, among others. Since 2022 he acts as Managing Director of a 100% subsidiary of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG that manages the stadium operations of the under 21 team. Before his career at Eintracht Frankfurt, Philipp worked as a strategy consultant at Roland Berger for three years, focusing on strategic transformation and restructuring projects. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Mannheim and a master’s degree from ESADE Business School, Barcelona, in International Management.
During the presentation, the representatives of Eintracht Frankfurt will cover the ESG strategy at Eintracht Frankfurt and its implications on the organization. They will go into detail on the derivation of a holistic strategy approach including vision and involved partners. Furthermore, they will highlight key challenges, relevant ESG projects and identified measures to create sustainable impact. They are keen on going into discussion with the participants to exchange ideas on other clubs’ approaches.
Tony Hamilton – Celtic FC Foundation
Tony Hamilton, Chief Executive at Celtic FC Foundation, is the next confirmed speaker at our 17th EFDN ‘#Morethanfootball’ Conference in Liverpool on 9-11 May 2022.
Tony Hamilton has been at Celtic since 1994. Having made the tea for the guy who makes the coffee, through to leading the Multi Media & Marketing team as Director, he now heads up the club’s charitable arm – Celtic FC Foundation – as its chief executive, after gaining an MBA from the University of Strathclyde. Tony’s Celtic collaborations include the publication of the Celtic Opus, and he co-produced and wrote a series of Celtic films including The Official History of Celtic Football Club, as well as film biographies of Jimmy Johnstone, Henrik Larsson, Tommy Burns and Billy McNeill, among others. Tony has expanded Celtic FC Foundation to North America where he is President of the US Iteration of the organisation – Celtic FC Foundation, Inc. He is a guest lecturer at the University of Glasgow, focusing on Leadership and Decision-Making. Tony was born and raised in Shettleston in the east end of Glasgow, and still resides five miles from Paradise. He is happily married with six children, 21 years sober, and moderately obsessed with Tom Rogic…
Tony Hamilton plans to take delegates through what the organisation did to contribute to alleviating the COVID pandemic, why and how it’s changed its approach to future delivery, and why it has to change and continually be open to change in the years ahead. He will provide participants with an overview of where they are, what changes were made and what the future holds.
