Ferencvarosi Torna Club joins the European Football for Development Network
Ferencvarosi TC is taking another step towards getting back on to the European football map by joining the European Football for Development Network.
Ferencvárosi Torna Club, known as Ferencváros, is a Hungarian professional football club based in Ferencváros, Budapest, Hungary, that plays in the Hungarian League. Ferencváros was founded in 1899 by Ferenc Springer and a group of local residents of Budapest’s ninth district, Ferencváros.
Seeing the development at Ferencvarosi Torna Club and its determination towards the elimination of racial discrimination, the association invited the club to our conference this year. “Participating is such an honor that our club can be seated next to Manchester United, Internazionale, Fulham, Rangers, FC Porto, Rosenborg or Werder Bremen.”
FTC also presented its CSR activities to the other members of the network at the 5th EFDN conference in Wolfsburg. Besides the other clubs presenting, also the European Club Association – in which FTC is also a member – and the representatives of FIFA and UEFA share their thoughts.
As known, Ferencvaros started campaigning against racial discrimination being the first Hungarian club and 2015 is fully dedicated to CSR. Every month the club stands up for a cause, helps and raises attention to the situation of the different needy groups.
EFDN is proud to be joigned by Ferencvarosi TC, the most popular team in Hungary.
