Ferencvárosi TC Releases New Video for Anti-Exclusion Campaign

Last week, Ferencvárosi Torna Club released a new video to continue their anti-exclusion campaign. The video features Norwegian and club striker Tokmac Nguen as he recalls his early days at the club and reflects on how he was welcomed into a new family.

In 2012, Ferencváros became the first Hungarian club to launch a campaign against exclusion for which they were awarded the Fair Play Award from the Hungarian Olympic Committee. Since then the club has continued to raise awareness about the importance of the fight against exclusion through more short films featuring star players, club legends and other important figures to the club’s structure. Last week’s video arrives after years of hard work to promote tolerance and inclusivity through football.

“We Are One Family at Fradi!” is a 30 second video following Nguen and the story of his journey at the club. Nguen remembers his first goal, the ups and downs of his career at FTC and the family he found at the club. Throughout the video, we meet many other athletes and supporters of Ferencváros in different locations and environments, emphasising the unity and solidarity that characterise the club: “everyone stands together, no matter where one comes from, what one went through, or where one belongs.”

During the shoot, Nguen also visited a Walking Football training. The EFDN programme has been implemented by Ferencváros to improve the physical and health conditions of local elderly citizens and to help them form a tight-knit community. In addition Nguen had the chance to make an appearance at a Community Champions League event to underline the importance of childhood physical activity and social inclusion.

Ferencváros pledges to uphold these values and keep harnessing the social power of football. For more information on Community Champions League and other EFDN programmes, visit this link.
