FC TWENTE PROJECT MANAGER BART SURPRISED BY MISIDJAN AND STATUSHOLDERS
Eyob is 17 years old. He fled with his family and has been living in the Netherlands for five years. The family was linked to FC Twente‘s ‘Anders Inburgeren’ project a few years ago. One of the project’s supervisors has a special place in their hearts, namely Bart Hampsink.
SCORING IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
The project ‘Anders Inburgeren’ is part of Scoren in de wijk (Scoring in the neighbourhood). It is a joint venture between several initiatives in Twente, which deal with the integration of different population groups. The project is based on practical integration. The club considers it important to use its connecting and mobilising power to help people move forward.
DRIVING FORCE BART
FC Twente player Virgil Misidjan is ambassador of Scoren in de wijk.
“This is a very nice project, where we help people integrate through support. I am very happy to be here today and to make these people happy,”
Misidjan
Bart Hampsink is one of the driving forces behind the project’s success. With enormous passion and dedication, Bart develops the project, to a great success, where he wants to give the families a lot of love along with the feeling that they are welcome and at home. When you ask the families what Bart means to them, it is love and friendship. That is why Bart is being put in the limelight today by Misidjan and the participants of the ‘Anders Inburgeren’ project.
