FC Twente Cups in De Grolsch Veste
On Wednesday 18 May, four teams consisting of youngsters from Enschede, Hengelo and Rijssen experienced a special football evening at De Grolsch Veste. They played several matches against each other as part of their sixteen-week programme of the Community Champions Eredivisie, the ‘Maatschappelijke Diensttijd’ (MDT) or Social Service Time programme in which they participate.
In addition to these football activities, during the programme the participants focus on their own neighbourhoods through neighbourhood contributions, and take part in workshops and exchanges with other clubs. The programme will soon end with a national final tournament in which eight other clubs will participate. MDT is part of a national programme from the Eredivisie and the European EFDN.
