FC Shakthar launches online PE classes
FC Shakthar and Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, offer online PE classes for school children.
From the 6th of April a new educational series called Digital PE Classes for school children involving sports stars is available on the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine website and on Shakthar’s YouTube Channel.
The format sees the participation of Shakhtar players Andriy Pyatov and Sergii Kryvtsov, who motivate school children in 12 video classes to stay active at home during quarantine, showing in detail how to perform some basic exercises.
“We believe that children should play sports, even while staying at home. Our players have shown how to do that,” says Inna Khmyzova, the director of Shakhtar Social. “Shakhtar players have always participated in social projects, and this time they also gladly agreed to participate. Moreover, Andriy Pyatov and Sergii Kryvtsov are parents having many children, so they know firsthand the importance of training for children.”
“While in quarantine, we should take special care of our health,” stressed Natalya Yemchenko, a member of the supervisory board of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. “The joint project of the Foundation, FC Shakhtar and the Ministry of Digital Transformation does not just call on students to do this – it involves them in the process. Digital Physical Education has a star format as sports stars Andriy Pyatov and Sergii Kryvtsov participate in it. And they were joined by TV stars – the hosts of the Mamakhokhotala comedy show Oleh Maslyuk and Yevhen Yanovych. It was this brilliant four who made the series so cool content-wise and very light and fun in form. Children become direct participants in the events, with challenges and flash mobs of the football players awaiting them, the winners will receive sports prizes. Watch it, participate and protect your health in quarantine!”
