FC Eindhoven also Switches to Reusable Cups
FC Eindhoven is following the global initatiative of using resuable cups at the stadium. Starting from the match against Roda JC on 6 November, the Jan Louwers Stadium will use reusable cups, so-called ‘hard cups’. For a hard cup you pay a one-off €2,- guarantee. This €2,- is a supplement per cup on top of the drink prices. You can then reuse this cup throughout the evening.
At the end of the drink consumption, you will receive a recycling token, which represents the value of one reusable cup. In short: at the next match, you can exchange this token for a cup, after which you only have to pay the drink price.
This arrangement also applies to away matches after 6 November at collection point Café 1909.
Some exceptions:
- Hot drinks will be served in cardboard cups
- Wine is served in a plastic small (disposable) cup. This is due to the low demand for wine.
For the away box, disposable cups will still be used until 31 December at the latest. As soon as these cups run out, we will switch to the reusable cup system there too.
