Falkirk Foundation is thrilled to announce a new project Together Equality Achieves More (T.E.A.M). The UEFA Foundation for Children allocated funding to 64 projects, as part of their mission to defend vulnerable children’s rights around the world so that they can look forward to a better future.

Following the success of joint application to the UEFA Foundation for Children, the charity will receive a 5-figure grant which will allow them to work in partnership with the Big Hearts, Motherwell Football Club Community Trust, St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation and Morton in the Community, to deliver a project based on Big Hearts Together Equality Achieves More (T.E.A.M) hugely successful programme. T.E.A.M uses football as a tool to improve the emotional wellbeing and social connections of young people living within their local communities.

“We are thrilled to be one of the partners that have been awarded funding from the UEFA Foundation for Children which will allow us to support more isolated young people based on Big Hearts T.E.A.M Project. We know this project has worked well and we look forward to working together with the other football club charity partners in other parts of Scotland. It is exciting that As a collective and by working together we can share learning and maximise impact for the benefit of our respective communities and young people at a key time in their life.”

Derek Alllison CEO Falkirk Foundation

T.E.A.M was launched at Tynecastle Park in 2017, initiating a new area of work for Big Hearts at the time. The aim of the project is to help local school pupils make new friends in their neighbourhood and be part of a diverse community where all cultures thrive together and since launch Big Hearts have worked with hundreds of young people as part of the project.

The Falkirk Foundation is looking forward to delivering this amazing project in their communities that will go a long way to building their resilience.

“The UEFA Foundation has selected 64 projects to support NGOs across 71 countries, all of them are aligned with our vision to empower children’s education, and gender equality and inspire new generations through the power of football.”
