Everton in the Community participants receive online financial wellness support
Financial planning experts, Aegis have been providing participants from Everton in the Community with expert financial knowledge to support them in everyday life.
Participants from the charity’s refugee and asylum seeker projects as well as those from health and wellbeing programmes have been able to access a number of engaging and informative sessions. From the basics of saving and investing to advice on how to avoid festive overspend, these sessions have proved valuable and life changing for many participants who previously have limited experience in this area.
Aegis is looking to support EitC as part of its CSR agenda with financial wellness a key element of its social value agenda, and have further plans for a session in the new year looking at debt management and budgeting.
“Financial wellbeing is a crucial aspect of the work we do to support our participants overall health and wellbeing. The partnership with Aegis has enabled us to provide high level information and practical guidance to help improve money confidence. […] These tools have been really powerful in helping participants learn more about how to manage money well and be excited for the future as opposed to feeling anxious and fearful. We are excited to provide even more opportunities for participants to improve their confidence around money related matters, working in partnership with Aegis in 2022.”
