Everton in the Community and LEGO celebrate children’s resilience

Everton in the Community has worked together with globally known brand LEGO to launch a new competition for children and young people.

As part of the #BuildCommunitiesTogether campaign, Everton in the Community has launched a new competition to reward children and young people who have well behaved during such a difficult time. However, this time they will not be alone, as they have joined forces with LEGO®, LEGO® Education and CreativeHUT.

EitC invites parents, teachers, and friends to nominate young people, under the age of 16, that in the past months have demonstrated exceptional behaviour and resilience or have committed themselves to some kind of kindness for an individual or the community.

Once the nominations window will close on Sunday 26 July, a panel of judges from Everton in the Community, LEGO®, LEGO® Education and CreativeHUT will select the winners, who will receive several limited-edition LEGO kits and a shout-out on Everton’s social media.

This is not the first time that Everton in the Community has collaborated with LEGO®. During the lockdown, the Foundation, together with CreativeHUT, asked their supporters to ‘stay build connect’ and create using their legos. The best builders received 25 LEGO Classic Bricks and Eyes kits.

Moreover, CreativeHUT donated 75 other kits to at-risk and vulnerable children and children of key workers across the Liverpool City area. A further 25 kits were also donated to participants from Everton in the Community’s 41 Goodison programme.
