Enterprising day for Tottenham students at the stadium

The Premier League Enterprise programme sees the Foundation deliver 12 weekly classroom based sessions to 11 to 14-year-olds on how a professional club works, with a stadium activity day at the end of the course to consolidate learnings. The programme is designed to increase business knowledge, improve life skills and encourage teamwork.

During the activity day students were given a tour of the Lane, before guest speakers from Metro Bank and Base delivered interactive sessions on financial management and careers in construction. The Foundation then put on a personal skills workshop aimed at raising self-esteem, where students talked about their best attributes.

Grant Cornwell, Chief Executive, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, said: “We’re proud of the work delivered through the Premier League Enterprise programme to improve the skills of these young people.

“This forms part of the Club’s wider commitment to provide educational opportunities and intervention activities for students from Key Stage 1 through to higher education.

Premier League Enterprise is joint-funded by the Premier League and Sport Relief and uses the backdrop of professional football clubs’ business models to deliver enterprise education to inspire young people and increase their aspirations and skills.
