EitC Raise Awareness for County Lines Intensification Week
Everton in the Community’s PL Kicks and 41 Goodison programmes have been working hard this week educating young people on the dangers of County Lines. Raising awareness of the young people, who lives in local areas, against the ‘County Lines’
‘County Lines’ is the movement of drugs from one area to another. Criminal gangs often recruit vulnerable young people and exploit them by using them to deal their drugs. ‘County Lines Intensification Week’ focuses on dismantling criminal gangs who are transporting drugs into local areas.
Both programmes have been delivering a number of awareness workshops to young people from across Merseyside throughout the week in a bid to crack down on County Lines Drug dealing. Participants also had a visit from Merseyside Police, who educated the young people on the dangers of County Lines and also delivered a boxing class!
Our PL Kicks and 41 Goodison programmes work with young people across Merseyside who may be ‘hard to reach’. Both programmes offer early intervention to their participants, giving them support and guidance to achieve positive outcomes. These programmes application is really important for the future of the young people, for that reason attention that is needed always should be served.
