EFDN welcomes Sparta Rotterdam into the network

Sparta Rotterdam and its foundation Stichting De Betrokken Spartaan have joined the European Football for Development Network (EFDN).

Sparta focuses primarily on the neighborhoods in the district Delfshaven, in the immediate vicinity of the Sparta Stadium. The foundation wants to realise this ambition in cooperation with the municipality, Rotterdam Sportsupport, housing corporations and local residents.

On behalf of Sparta Rotterdam, Stichting De Betrokken Spartaan takes responsibility for a better society and uses football as a tool to achieve its goals. The foundation develops a high level of involvement of local residents, realises commitment and works together with partners and institutions to achieve the maximum result. The optimal support and cooperation with social partners are crucial for them which is why the most important value in this regard is respect.

De Betrokken Spartaan wants to share information on its projects, find inspiration for new programmes and benefit from the knowledge of other EFDN members, especially when it comes to creating new partnerships and growing the organisation’s network. Read more about their mission and vision here.
