EFDN welcomes SC Cambuur to the network!

EFDN is happy to announce that SC Cambuur has joined the network.

SC Cambuur is much more than football. Cambuur also has a social task. Because football connects: citizens, business and government, professionals and amateurs.

It connects people who see new opportunities thanks to Cambuur. Cambuur Verbindt, the social arm of SC Cambuur, focuses on three pillars: Talent Development, Health and Integration/Livability.

Their vision shows that every person is unique, has special qualities and deserves a place in our society.

Discover below some of SC Cambuur CSR Activities:

Cambuur Dreamschool

Voted the finest project of the Eredivisie season 2021-2022. Young people who could use a helping hand. Youth workers approach these young people asking if they want to go to the Cambuur Dreamschool.

Many young people are increasingly losing their motivation and energy. This affects their mental and physical health, their school performance and sometimes also their home situation. At the Cambuur Stadium, the youngsters can participate in sports activities.

They also receive personal guidance from sports coaches and trainers. Young people also engage in discussions with players and trainers of SC Cambuur. In addition, they work on personal goals and they help them achieve such goals. They deliver tailor-made work. for all participants.

Special Eredivisie

For children with a disability, a dream comes true: playing for a professional football club in a unique league – the Special Eredivisie. That is, of course, a unique opportunity for the participants.

For one season, the g-teams of SC Cambuur, ADO Den Haag, sc Heerenveen, Go Ahead Eagles, FC Groningen, De Graafschap, Excelsior Rotterdam, FC Emmen, VVV-Venlo, FC Utrecht, NEC Nijmegen and Ajax will play a number of matches against each other during different rounds.

The Special Eredivisie shows how important sports are for children with disabilities.

Cambuur OldStars

Like real football heroes, 60+ players socialise and play football together at SC Cambuur. The Cambuur OldStars activities start every week with a nice cup of coffee or tea and discussing football news.

Then the training starts, with Walking Football and strength and flexibility exercises. Cambuur offers professional coaching specifically aimed at seniors.

The club wants to make over 60+ people aware of the importance of an active lifestyle, while also encouraging participants to maintain social contacts that benefit their mental health.
