EFDN members celebrate International Youth Day

August 12 was International Youth Day and the world commemorated it to bring attention to youth issues and celebrate their potential as partners in today’s global society.

The European Football for Development Network (EFDN) runs football for development initiatives and supports its members to implement initiatives across the globe to help address and highlight some of the matters affecting youth.

EFDN runs an exchange programme – EFDN Youth Exchanges – to allow clubs to provide groups of young people from different countries with the opportunity to meet, live and work together on shared projects for short periods. The Exchanges take place outside the conventional environment with participants taking part in activities such as workshops, exercises, debates, role-plays and outdoor activities that work towards shared themes of objectives.

Below is a collection of how several EFDN members and European football organisations marked the day.
